On my last video – Knitting and crochet studio chat – I added some Spring footage I took for you, two weeks ago on a family picnic. It has been so cold here in the last few days that it feels like it was ages ago. But on the other hand you can feel it everywhere, Spring is just around the corner, Yes. Confusing.

I actually sit here, next to my computer wearing my puffy coat, drinking a HOT cup of tea. Really! But my little blog corner keeps me warm. There are quite a few new followers here on my blog. WELCOME! I’m so happy to have you here. Thank you so much for joining and also for all the new comments you left on some old posts. You made me go back and read some good old free patterns shared here on my blog.

It’s interesting but it made me look at some of my old posts with a fresh eye, more like a visitor. Can you understand what I mean? Anyway, it made me very proud of some content that I shared here over the last few years. So many FREE patterns. And I AM SO HAPPY you enjoy it!!!

You can find more knitting and crochet free tutorials On my YouTube channel. And in case you want to see the face behind them, come visit me on my latest studio chat. From time to time I find the courage to sit down and talk in front of the camera. It gives me another way to get connected with you, my lovely followers. Show the face behind the patterns and yarn packs as well as share knitting and crochet projects. It feels like hosting you in my studio. I hope.

Yesterday I uploaded a ‘sitting in front of a camera’ kinda video. A knitting and crochet studio chat with me. I placed my camera in front of the ‘cotton boxes wall’, in my studio, placed a chair and pressed record. OK it wasn’t that quick and simple but let’s pretend it was. It took ages till I found the right angle and decided which window to leave open and which of the shading curtains to close…

studio chatAnd then came the talking part. I knew what I wanted to talk about and I knew I wanted to keep it short and sweet. But my English level is not THAT high so after recording I had to edit SO many aaaam’s and hemmmm’s. But HEY, eventually it’s there!

This studio chat is all about knitting and crochet, where I share some finished socks and talk about my next Cosy Weekend Socks cast on.Knitting and crochet studio chatI’ve been very busy with sock knitting lately. It brings a lot of comfort and helps me keeping calm when my stress levels are getting a little crazy. I knitted a pair of stripes socks for Maya, our 20 YO gal. I used Viola minis and a Life in the long grass sock wool and alternated 2 rounds of each. I just twist them whenever I changed colours. This is how I switch colours: leave the old yarn to the left, pick the new yarn below and to the right and start to knit with it. Hope this makes sense. socks knitting

She wears them a lot and asked if I could knit her another pair. I was happy up to the sky to CO a new pair for my girl. Casting On a new sock is such a joyful moment for me. I took them out and about to our Spring family picnic the other day. TOO good!!! The light Sage is a yarn is Life in the long grass sock wool purchased from Loop London. The dark Green is an old Regia sock yarn I had in my stash.Knitting and crochet studio chatI also included a glimpse on my latest crochet pattern in this studio chat video. This crochet scarf is the newest CrochetObjet X mYak_fibers collaboration. Originally it was supposed to be published by now, but it will need to wait a while because of the current general situation.

Filming and editing took a whole day but went smoothly. Yesterday when I came to the uploading step, I got stuck and somehow couldn’t make it right. It might be something related to the video or editing quality. Eventually on the 4th upload it went through and the video went live. YAY for determination!

Knitting and crochet studio chatAt the end of the video I added a few short videos I took on our family picnic, about two weeks ago. I wanted to send some local Spring to cheer you up a little. The Anemone blooms is just breathtaking. I really hope you’ll watch and enjoy my new video. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts about it. Would you like more Studio Chat videos from me? Would you like to see more general footage like local nature and studio activities? Let me know. Thank you so much for watching, xxMo
