This week I published the Lila socks pattern and it is now available on Etsy and Ravelry. It’s the fourth socks pattern that I publish and I really hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we enjoy it here in the CrochetObjet knitting studio.

I originally planned to publish this pattern earlier. But the brutal attack by Hamas on October 7th turned our lives upside down and I just couldn’t get myself into the joy of publishing a new pattern.

This week I came to the realization that this joy will probably not come again soon so why wait? I decided to publish the new socks pattern even though I don’t feel the same excitement as I always feel while putting a new pattern out. And so I did. It is now available on Etsy and Ravelry and I really hope you’ll enjoy this making. The The Lila socks is a cuff down pattern that has just a little bit of interesting (but simple) lace knitting in the top section. You’ll be knitting a delicate diamond shape with just a few simple stitches. From there on you’ll continue knitting just a plain vanilla sock.I knitted my Lila socks on 9 inch short circular needles in size US1 2.25 mm. You can use a magic loop or 5 dpn’s if that’s your preferable method. I already knitted 3 pairs in different leg lengths. I used the same yarn for all 3 pairs. In this video I shared a lot more details if you like.

Unfortunately I feel like we live in a nightmare and it feels like it will never end. It just gets worse. Our community is completely heart broken. The next coming days are going to be tough and we all know it. We have made a deal with the devil to have some of our kids and women hostages back from the terrorists’ hands in Gaza. We all pray it will work and they will be freed.

Naturally putting a new pattern out is not the same for me these days. I am sorry for not having the same festive voice as I always have with a new pattern release. If you like you can visit me on this week’s update on YouTube where I share a vlog with a personal update from the war days in Israel. There are also more details on the Lila socks pattern in the video. Hope you’ll enjoy it, maybe as a holiday knit? I wish you all happy Thanks Giving if you celebrate it, xxMo

Hello from Massachusetts, usa. I’ve just found your YouTube channel and from there I came here. I am so sad about what is happening to Israel and I just can’t understand the people here in the US protesting in support of Palestine. Can’t imagine the emotional rollercoaster you are experiencing as some hostages are released but not all. We are praying for you. Jan
