A little after I started working on the first pair of cable socks, I felt very comfortable with the cable knitting and loved the way it came out using my cotton yarn. I wanted to make a wooly pair of cable socks on my next sock project.  The 6th pair was up on the needle while the cotton cable pair were on the go. The reason I wanted to learn socks knitting was because I had this dream that one day I will be able to knit cable socks. Cable socks is one special love of mine – it holds so many things I admire. I don’t know why but for me a knitted cable pattern always looked like a magic that keeps some tradition inside it. Looks like it came from old romantic admired places. It was the hottest time of the year here when I started working on pair #4. Started mid July and I think it was already August when I finished them. The hottest and muggy weather here in Israel. I felt like I’m making a joke of myself but what could I do? I was totally into sock learning/making. Who could think logically? It got me hooked no matter how related or not it was to the weather.
